Statement of Faith

The Scriptures - The Holy Bible, in the original language, is the inspired, inerrant, infallible word of God, and is given to us as the rule and guide of our faith.

God - one God existing as three co-equal, co-eternal, and distinct persons—the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit—who share one divine essence.

Jesus Christ - The deity and pre-existence of the Lord Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, Savior of those who believe in Him; His virgin birth, sinless life, miraculous works, atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension to heaven, priestly ministry and personal and imminent return.

Holy Spirit - The person and deity of the Holy Spirit, who convicts men of sin, and regenerates and indwells those who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the teacher of Scripture.

Man - All men are lost, by nature, and are saved only by the virtue of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ and the regenerating power of the Holy Spirit.

Second Coming - The second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, and in the resurrection of the saved to eternal life, and to those who are lost, to eternal condemnation.

Salvation - Offered freely to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord of their life and Savior of their eternal soul; salvation is by grace alone through faith alone.

Baptism & The Lord’s Supper - Baptism is believer's baptism (full immersion) only, symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. The Lord’s Supper is a symbolic act of remembrance and obedience. he ordinances of Baptism and the Lord's Supper were appointed by the Lord Jesus Christ, and that they are to be observed by the church.

The Church - The local church completely governs itself, but it feels a deep sense of interdependence with the fellowship of other churches of like faith and order. The universal church as a living spiritual body, of which the Lord Jesus Christ is the head, and in which all born-again persons are members. The work of Worship, Evangelism, and Discipleship, under the direction and empowerment of the Holy Spirit, constitute the supreme responsibilities of the church. Each Christian can go directly to God through the Lord Jesus Christ and does not require a human mediator or go-between.

Angels - Angels are created, supernatural and spiritual beings who serve the Lord and minister to His people.

Satan - Satan is a fallen angel who can control and influence men and accuse and harass God's people. That he is the head of the fallen angels (demons) who do his bidding and will share his doom. That Satan can be resisted and overcome only by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, and by claiming the redeemed merit of His blood shed on the cross for men's sin.

Government - The time honored and well-established principle of separation of church and state as set forth in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.

("The First Amendment has erected a wall of separation between church and state. That wall is a one dimensional wall. It keeps government from running the church, but it makes sure that Christian principles will always stay in Government." Thomas Jefferson.)
